The policy is as follows:
Illness absence: The only
truly “excused” absence is one for illness. A telephone call to the team manager
is expected for any illness absence. If a Saratoga Star has been absent from two
or more practices for illness, a letter from the team member’s doctor will be
required upon return to the team practice.
Other absences: From time to
time certain absences occur that are not illness related. ANY of these “other”
absences whether school activity or family commitment, will require a letter
indicating the expected absence and reason for the absence sent to the Synchro
committee as early as possible approval of both coaches is mandatory.
Blackout dates: From December
1 2006, until the end of the 2006-2007 competitive season, members will attend
every practice. Only absences with approval from both coaches will be accepted.
Please be aware that all
communications and absentee records are kept on file and will be taken into
consideration over the season.
The Synchro committee will handle any
and all questions and concerns. The Synchro committee will arrive at a
concurrence with the coaches. Infractions and disciplinary actions will be put
in writing. Problems that occur on the ice or it environs (related off ice) are
to be addresses to the Coaches. Every effort will be made to resolve all
problems or concerns promptly.
We sincerely hope that the above will
serve to clarify the policies that will followed by the Synchro committee and
serve as a reminder that we are all a part of a very large TEAM. As part of that
TEAM, we must make every effort to comply with the rules and regulations set
forth to help our TEAM.
