Synchronized Skating is the fastest growing team sport in the US. Teams of 8 to 32 skaters perform a 3 to 4.5 minute program, which includes a variety of team maneuvers such as pinwheels, lines, footwork blocks, splices and intersections in unison. Synchronized Skating requires discipline, concentration, teamwork and strong dancing, skating and presentation skills. We are fortunate to have two excellent and dedicated coaches: Debbie LaBombard - ddlabomb@yahoo.com and Missy Williams - missyskatemail@yahoo.com

There are 2 teams this year:

  • Saratoga Stars (Open Junior: Skaters must be 12 by 7/1/06 with the majority of the skaters 18 yrs of age or younger.)

  • Saratoga Starlettes (Pre Juvenile: Majority of team must be 11 yrs of age or younger.)

Skating Criteria

In an effort to try to establish a higher level of performance for the 2006-2007 season and in future years, the following criteria are the rules set by US Figure Skating.

  • Open Junior: Preliminary moves or above

  • Pre Juv: Pre Pre moves or above

Practice Time

Open Junior: Wednesday 4:30 - 6 pm, Saturday 11 - noon, and some Sundays. The team is currently full with 20 skaters. The coaches will consider alternates.
